WELCOME to Imperfectly Perfect Mamas...

...where mamas get a kick out of the imperfections of the day.

The Facebook post heard 'round the world (not really but any who),
"Real Talk: Don't get me wrong, I love all the mommy blogs I follow and they inspire me daily but sometimes they make me feel totally inadequate.  I need to read a blog about a mom that in a pinch feeds her children Ramen noodles for breakfast (done it, not proud), frantically packs everything in the house up for just a quick run to the store only to realize half-way there no one has brushed their teeth or hair, totally forgets everything on her grocery list that is of course still lying on the bar at home, whose car is littered with teddy bears, backpacks, coats (yes, it's summertime but coats are in my car :/), and who is completely exhausted after the crazy bedtime shenanigans(sp? but you get it). I love my life and I wouldn't change anything but some real talk for us mommies might be comforting. Just saying:)"

WARNING Politically Correct Moment ALERT:
This blog is not meant to generalize or poke fun at child rearing.  I will be the first to tell you that my children are my biggest and best blessings of my life.  I'm just sayin it aint all roses, so why not laugh about it.  In my experience, I've come across too many children that are neither taken care of or valued and that's a shame.  My children are very much valued and taken care of, their biggest worry of the day is who got out of bed and forgot to "call" the recliner (if you have older children, no explanation required, I'm sure).

MOVING ON...
This blog is about not having to be perfect to be a good GREAT mama.  One day when I was having a particularly rough day, my mom told me, "these are the good days."  I thought about that awhile and decided she's right.  When I'm in  my 50's and my kids are all out of the house (hopefully;)), I'll think about the imperfectly perfect days and wish I could replay them.

SO...if you get a kick out of some of the crazy shenanigans of raising kiddos, this blog is for you.  If you're reading this while you fold the third load of laundry and your children are quietly completely a craft at the table all the while you have supper in the oven-move on.  I love ya but this ain't for you :)
