It seems I am a fair weather blogger...
Hello my peeps! It seems I am a fair weather blogger. It's been awhile and the fact is, it feels like I blink my eyes and the time just passes. The fact that I am a full-time student in the Spring and Fall could have something to do with it...ya think? Anyway, I'm glad to be back among the imperfectly perfect mamas. :)
Today, I took the kids to the annual turtle race at our local library. It's the Superbowl of events in the eyes of my children. They have combed and searched our property for the most amazing and fastest turtles. I should add that during this time of searching I have created some manic hand washers. Do turtles really carry salmonella? I don't know. All I know is that I grew up catching turtles I can't remember a single time I went in and washed my hands afterward and it seems I've grown up just fine. (unless of course salmonella causes cellulite and then curse you, you silly turtles) Anyway..my kids are so worried about washing their hands after touching the turtles (because of me) that they asked, at the turtle race, for some hand sanitizer. Who are these kids??? Our turtles did not place at the turtle race, in fact they didn't even get started. Both turtles stayed in their shells the entire time except of course when we released them. Then they ran like track stars. (insert music "Born Free") I love this time spent with my rings, it wasn't perfect but it was imperfectly perfect. On to another adventure with the three ring circus.
